Relaxation FAQ'S

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY FACIAL?

  • Cleanse Your Skin: Gently cleanse your face to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities.
  • Avoid Heavy Makeup: Arrive with minimal or no makeup to ensure the facial products can work effectively.
  • Inform Your Skincare Professional: Share any skin conditions, allergies, or concerns to tailor the treatment to your needs.
  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

WHAT SHOULD/SHOULDN'T I DO BEFORE MY FACIAL?

  • Avoid Exfoliating Treatments: Refrain from using physical or chemical exfoliants 3-5 days before your facial to prevent irritation.
  • Avoid Actives: Avoid using any Vitamin A or C serums and any AHA or BHA ingredients for 3-5 days before your facial to prevent any adverse reactions.
  • Skip Sun Exposure: Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds, as this can make your skin more sensitive.
  • Don’t Use Strong Skincare Products: Avoid using products with retinoids, acids, or other potent ingredients that might cause irritation.
  • Refrain from Waxing: Avoid waxing or any other hair removal methods on the day of your facial, as this can increase skin sensitivity.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER MY FACIAL?

We don't recommend wearing makeup after getting a facial done for 24 to 48 hours for our signature facials.

However, if you need to you can, just wait a few hours after the facial to apply mineral makeup.

After treatments like IPL, ResurFX, Photo Fractional, and SkinPen, it's generally advised to wait 48 to 72 hours before applying makeup to allow your skin to heal and minimize irritation - please ask our talented Dermal Therapists for more information.
