FAQ'S
WHAT IS IV DRIP THERAPY?
IV therapy is a medical technique designed to introduce fluids and vitamins directly into the bloodstream through a cannula.
HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM ORAL VITAMINS?
Oral supplementation requires absorption through the GIT, and it' s not possible to ingest and absorb sufficient amounts to obtain optimal levels. IV therapy gives you the ability to tolerate higher doses, which your body will then have the ability to effectively utilise.
Depending on your gut health, or if you have an impaired gut lining this will affect how much your body is able to absorb orally.
WHAT DOES IT HELP WITH?
We stock a broad range of Vitamins, Amino Acids and Minerals. The registered nurses at My Julie are able to customise your specific infusion that may assist with Sleep, Muscle Recovery, Cold & Flu Recovery, Collagen Stimulation, Hair/Nail/Skin Nourishment, Immunity, Dehydration, Brain Fog & Clarity, Weight Management & Detoxification.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The whole process takes about 30-60 minutes which includes your consultation and preparation time.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Depends on each individual. Some people feel the effects immediately and some may take a few days. Each individual metabolises them differently, so it can vary. Studies are showing that with regular & consistent IV Therapy the positive impacts are lasting longer between treatments.
HOW OFTEN CAN YOU DO THE TREATMENT?
Each persons needs are different and some of the Vitamins has different conditions. Some people come in for only 1 session to treat a particular concern at the time (ie: Dehydration for recovery).
However, on average a regular cycle of IV Therapy General Wellness Maintenance can be done every 4 to 6 weeks.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR IV DRIP THERAPY?
Most adults are generally eligible. Our nurses perform a thorough consultation process to ensure your safety. Some medical conditions are not eligible and some may require medical clearance from your GP such as Heart failure, Kidney disease, Liver disease, Pregnancy or Breastfeeding.
DOES THE TREATMENT HURT?
It is super comfortable and our highly trained nurses ensure that you have everything you need so you can ENJOY your treatment. Our lounge is designed to sit solo or with friends, so once your all set up, the whole process is very relaxing and can be quite sociable too. Book in with a friend and go for brunch or lunch straight after!
DO YOU OFFER CORPORATE OR GROUP BOOKINGS?
Yes. Email us at store@myjulie.com.au and our co-ordinator can tailor a group package for you. IV Therapy is a brilliant team bonding experience that leaves everyone feeling looked after and nurtured. Bridal parties usually come in 1 or 2 days before the wedding to get everyones skin glowing and nerves calmed for the big day ahead.
HOW MUCH DOES AN INFUSION COST?
IV Therapy starts at around $150 for a basic vitamin infusion up to around $400. On average, a customised infusion based on your health requirements is around $249-$299.
